What we forge

Yokes

simple, ring, double and shank

The work that made Silfas a reference for cardan and constant-velocity joints, above all in the agricultural sector.

Three black forged yokes

Shafts, rings, flanges and hubs

for gearboxes and mechanical components

In recent years the range has extended to gears and shafts for gearboxes, bevel-wheel rings, flanges, hubs and planet carriers.

Parts from 0.5 to 18 kg, in iron, stainless steel, quenched-and-tempered and case-hardening steel. For agriculture, earthmoving, heavy vehicles and hydraulics.

Behind every part is someone running the press

Presses, robots and numerically controlled machines work alongside the people who run them: about 51 people, 14 white collars and 37 blue collars.

Rooted in Canavese

Silfas has forged hot steel since 1950. Hot forging is one of the excellences of Canavese, recognised around the world.

For over seventy years this family-run company worked mainly for the agricultural sector, making yokes for cardan and constant-velocity joints. Today it has widened its range while keeping the specialisation that made it a leader: gears and shafts for gearboxes.

Silfas 1, the historic plant, covers 7,500 m² (2,800 m² covered). Silfas 2, the new plant, covers 25,000 m² (7,000 m² covered).

Silfas is part of the Silfas Group, together with Cisar S.r.l.
